Description
- A user tries to delete a reaction or analysis plate from an experiment.
- Katalyst reports an error or refuses to delete the plate.
- The plate still has analytical data or references from other objects (e.g., review tables, processing results).
Solution
- Confirm whether analytical data is attached:
- Open the Analysis Workspace and check if any wells on the plate have chromatograms/spectra.
- Look for references to this plate in review/summary tables.
- Safe cleanup steps:
- If data is not needed, remove or detach analytical runs from the plate (where supported).
- Clear any references to the plate from dependent objects (e.g., remove it from review tables or reports).
- Attempt plate deletion again.
- If data must be preserved:
- Do not delete the plate; instead:
- Hide or mark it as deprecated (if such a status exists).
- Or create a new experiment with the desired plate configuration and move forward there.
- Do not delete the plate; instead:
