Description
- Users attempt to upload very large instrument data sets (e.g., multi‑GB LC/MS or LC‑UV runs).
- Uploads:
- Stall partway,
- Fail with timeouts, or
- Complete but the data never appears in the Analysis Workspace.
- Smaller files from the same instrument upload without issues.
Solution
- Check infrastructure limits:
- Web server/proxy maximum request size.
- Upload timeout limits.
- Disk space on the receiving share or server.
- Adjust settings where possible:
- Increase max upload size and timeouts in the web server / reverse proxy hosting Katalyst.
- Ensure the Katalyst scan/ingest locations have sufficient free disk space.
- Best practices:
- Where possible, split excessively large acquisition runs into smaller, logically separate data sets.
- Avoid bundling unrelated runs into a single massive file.
