Description
- Users fill many metadata fields but are unsure which ones matter for:
- Standard summary reports,
- Regulatory or management dashboards,
- External exports.
- This leads to inconsistent data entry and reporting gaps.
Solution
- Identify reporting requirements:
- For each key report/dashboard, list the Katalyst fields it depends on (e.g., project, experiment type, indication, owner, status, key numeric metrics).
- Document “report‑critical” fields:
- Mark which fields must be filled correctly for an experiment to appear properly in standard reports.
- Configuration:
- Where possible, make critical fields mandatory or add validation rules, so users cannot finalize experiments missing required report fields.
