Description
- Attempting to finalize an experiment shows a list of warnings (e.g., missing data, questionable results).
- Katalyst refuses to finalize until these warnings are cleared or acknowledged.
- Users are unsure which warnings must be resolved vs which can be accepted.
Solution
- Review the warning list:
- Some warnings may be configured as blocking (must be fixed), others as informational.
- Resolve what’s required:
- For blocking warnings (e.g., required analytical data missing in key wells), complete the missing work or update experiment configuration to reflect the actual workflow (see KB 51 and KB 29).
- Acknowledge or override:
- If configuration allows, authorized users may override or acknowledge certain warnings as acceptable exceptions.
- Ensure such overrides are logged for audit purposes.
- Tune warning rules:
- If many warnings are not relevant, refine or reduce them so that only genuinely important issues block finalization.
