Description
- A user logs into Katalyst successfully and can see some experiments, but:
- Certain experiments or projects do not appear in their list.
- Other users (e.g., administrators) can see those experiments.
- There is no error message; the experiments simply do not show up for the affected user.
Solution
- Check user’s roles and group memberships in Katalyst (and, if applicable, in the external identity system/LDAP):
- Confirm that the user belongs to the groups that are allowed to access the project or experiment category.
- If Katalyst uses project‑ or space‑level permissions, ensure the user is included.
- Verify any experiment‑level security:
- Some environments restrict individual experiments to specific teams or roles.
- Look for ACLs or security flags on the missing experiments.
- Remediate by:
- Adding the user to the appropriate group(s) or role(s).
- Adjusting project/experiment permissions to reflect desired access policies.
- After changes:
- Ask the user to log out and log in again, then refresh experiment lists.
- Confirm they can see and open the previously hidden experiments.
