Description
- When attempting to finalize an experiment, Katalyst shows a warning or error that prevents finalization:
- Some wells are missing required analytical data (e.g., LC/MS results).
- Some plates or analyses are incomplete according to configured rules.
- Finalization is blocked to enforce data‑completeness rules.
Solution
- Determine which wells or plates are considered incomplete:
- Use Katalyst’s experiment summary, validation messages, or plate views to identify missing analytics.
- Decide on the correct resolution strategy for the workflow:
- If data is genuinely missing and required
- Acquire and upload the missing analytical runs.
- Attach them through the standard data‑sweep/scan paths.
- Re‑validate and finalize the experiment once all required data is present.
- If some wells are intentionally empty or not part of the study
- Adjust the experiment configuration to mark those wells as not requiring analytics, where supported.
- Or use a product update/patch (when available) that allows finalization of partially filled plates by ignoring truly empty wells.
- If data is genuinely missing and required
- After implementing the chosen approach:
- Run finalization again and check for new validation warnings.
- Update SOPs so users know which wells must have analytics before finalization is allowed.
