Description
- A Katalyst project’s ownership or responsible group changes (e.g., from one team to another).
- After the change, some users:
- Can no longer see or open experiments they previously accessed.
- Experience permissions errors or empty experiment lists.
- Admins may have altered group memberships, project security, or ACLs.
Solution
- Review the security configuration of the affected project:
- Identify which groups/roles have read/write access.
- Check whether old teams/groups were removed without adding new ones.
- Confirm user memberships:
- Ensure users who need access belong to the correct groups associated with the project.
- If using SSO or external directory groups, verify group sync/assignment is still correct.
- Apply corrections:
- Add the new team’s group(s) to the project’s allowed roles.
- Optionally maintain legacy access for a transition period, if appropriate.
- After making changes:
- Ask users to log out/in or refresh their session.
- Confirm they see the expected experiments again.
